Hello all,Does your project in Windows Movie Maker stay in memory after you are done working with it,but before you finish it?I have a project that I periodically work on in Windows Movie Maker. It is not finished. Will the memory that it takes to work on it stay dedicated to this project and not be freed up until the project is finished?Thank you.

    Er, no.

When you need to stop working you should save the project at that point. The project will contain the details of all the assets (photos, videos, audio etc), and any transitions, edits etc applied to that point in time. When you come back you can load that project up again and keep working. Remember to save your progress as you go, as Movie Maker is pretty likely to crash along the way. All of this will be stored on your HDD.

Memory, on the other hand, is cleared when you power off the machine, and the contents can even be shuffled off to the HDD if you are running multiple tasks at once and need more memory than you have. Memory is allocated when you open a program, and given back to the system when you close it again.
