Nero writing at 1x

Easy There

Im trying to write to dvd with Nero v5 but it will only let me select 1x I wrote once at 2x but can no longer select the option. I have Uninstalled it etc but still no joy, Any Ideas folks ?

Also is there any other s/ware that you can write to dvd with?

Does your media support 2X writing? I have seen some DVD-R media that does not.

I would also check your media, try a different brand, also, you are running a registered version of nero right? I know the demo limits you to 1x write.

I have also read that with the pioneer burner you must use pioneer media to get the 2x speed, any other brand will limit you to 1x. Maximum pc review.

Yeh I bets that what it is, As it would have been a Pioneer blank when I first wrote one as you got 2 free blanks with, Ive got Infiniti and Data Save media at the mo.. Oh well I will just have to find some Pioneer blanks and see what happens, I will let you guys know the results incase this question get asked again.

Just an update if anybody is intrested..

I got some Pioneer discs today and it wrote at 2x.
