    I have seen DTS is 1536 Kbps. Then what does DTS @ 1509kbps mean??? Any concept of variable or average bitrate here??? I have seen this about the specs of a MKV file...

    DTS encoding, like AC3 encoding, is Constant BitRate (CBR). DTS at 1536 kbps is the highest allowable for DVD, although only music DVDs would use a bitrate that high. For Bluray this is probably the standard bitrate. 1509 kbps is probably a mis-read of the original bitrate

    My bad. 1509 kbps is the maximum for DVD for DTS encoded audio. 1536 is PCM.
