I'm trying to convert mkv files using tsmuxer so that they can be played back on my PS3, however, every now and then I get one which has a green bar along the bottom of the screen. I've read that this is because of a non-standard resolution being used.
Can anyone tell me what the standard resolutions should be, that way I can keep a look out and use mkv2vob if one of the files I have has a non-standard resolution.

I guess 1280x720 and 1920x1080 (with black border for 2.35:1,2.4:1 videos) would be the most standard resolutions for HD material.

1920x1080 is often broadcast as 1920x1088 because that is whole number multiple of 16x16 macroblocks. The last 8 lines are not intended to be displayed.Originally Posted by CRanga
