This has been out there before but it's apparently official now. Sounds interesting. I wonder what prices will be like........

Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

i thought that was supposed to be included with the unlimited downloads, but i'm not positive...
I am just a worthless liar,
I am just an imbecil -
I suppose Sony's eyes blinded by their Blu-Ray mission will preclude Sony offering this on the PS3. If so, Sony will lose twice in the HD arena - the first is their botch job with Blu-Ray. The second will be their refusal to support HD downloads to players because they are too stubborn to admit their mistakes with Blu-Ray. I suppose in their twisted reasoning that if they don't support HD downloads that this will "force" people to buy Blu-Ray.

@scdvd - I thought the ps3 does offer video downloads now on the marketplace? I haven't logged in for awhile so I don't know for sure if HD is included. It wouldn't be hard for them to do so. Fulcilives had a thread about that awhile ago - maybe I can dig it up....
EDIT - yep it was back from July:

EDIT 2 - Also how could Sony have done a botch job with Bluray if they won? I mean HD-DVD is dead so BLURAY is the only high def disc format available. It seems to me like they won.....
EDIT 3 - One other thing - I still prefer discs to downloads for two reasons - one is OAR - it seems like at least on cable on demand not all movies are in OAR - they are cropped to 1.77:1. the Second reason is bonuses. You don't get bonus features with on demand or downloaded movies. At the very minimum you MIGHT get a commentary track but you won't get all the other stuff. If its a movie I really like I want to see how it was made and background video is a great insight into it. One last thing is download time - I am at sub .5mb dsl so downloading a 1gb or more of video is impractical to say the least - it is still easier to rent a physical disc (I go to the store since I stopped netflix a long time ago).Donatello - The Shredder? yoda313, I was referring to Netflix. Since I already subscribe to Neflix, their streaming service is free (no additional charge for Netflix members). I was aware of Sony's program but that's really PPV - no thank you.

@scdvd - ok I guess I mis-interpreted it. But anyway I prefer physical discs to donwloads anyway so its not really for me but the extra option is nice.

I thought with your xbox you have to pay for Live to get it?
PS3 software was $30.
You can get a Roku box for $99 & use it in any room. Pause in one room continue in another one or another location.
