  1. I have some WMV and MPG files I would like to convert to Xvid or MPG2 (DVD). But I do not know which of the 2 output formats would give better quality. Which one should I use?

I guess you want to play it on a standalone dvd player?

The mpgs could already be in dvd compliant format, check www.videohelp.com/dvd , and you just have to author they with for example gui for dvd author.

Or else can you get similar quality using both formats.
