Can anyone please tell me what the best video capture device/card there is out there currently that does real time hardware encoding? (real time dIVX hardware encoding as well)
I use to use a Plextor ConvertX TV-402u which worked amazing and the video quality was fantastic, but unfortunately it's not compatible with Vista.
Really I'm trying to find something that is on the same level or preferrably better than the Plextor TV402u, but offers the same features.
Any ideas?
Thanks guys!!

If it has the do hardware divx encoding the choice is limited.
Alternative is to cap to uncompressed, DV, MPeg2 or h.264 then convert.
Have you tried XP compatibility modes in Vista? You can always use a 2nd XP PC for Convertx capture. The CPU processing load is small.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.
