I get absolutely no sound when on Internet

my speakers work because when i play videos on media players or cds or dvds my sound is perfect. just dont get any sound when im on the internet. is there a certain audio codec i need. i have k lite's newest version of codecs

What are you trying to play? Give us an example of a url where you don't have audio

nothing off myspace, youtube or any other video sites like youtube, when i get mail on aol i dont even here the annoying you got mail. hell i get no sound what so ever off any webpage. unless i can download it to my hard drive and play it with some kind of media player. if i am trying to listen to it off the actual webpage i have no sound
