SVCDs (encoded using TMPGEnc12, and burned using Nero 5.5.6.4) play fine on (a) Win 98SE and (b) Win ME, Sony VAIO desktop systems. Little pixilation. Near DVD quality.
Yet when I play them on a new Dell Inspiron 8100 notebook (using Win XP running on a p3-1.13 MHz cpu, 256MB SDRAM, Ultra XGA+TFT 15 inch screen, with 64Mb DDR Radeon 7500 graphics) I get a significant increase in pixilation?
Using WinDVD 3.0.55 (or the 3.1.19 demo) makes no difference.
Has anyone else run into this problem?
