I have a movie that uses the AC3 codec and virtualdubmod gives me an error whenever I try to do anything with the movie. I downloaded an AC3 decompressor and installed it; but, nothing happens. Do I need to do something special?

I just installed that and I still get no audio. All I really want to do is bump up the volume a little bit. When I do that I get this error: No audio decompressor could be found to decompress the source audio format.

I've already tried that one. I right-click on the inf file, I hear a ding from the speakers, then I try virtualdub again and again, no audio and I get the same error. I'm using Vista x64--does that make a difference?

yes vista x64 makes a difference, there was a thread about it a while back...
