  1. Im trying to fix the audio track on some video files, to get sound on both sides/channels
    I got and used this instructions earlier from a old thread on this forum

    "Open the avi with Goldwave.
    Copy the left to the right channel or make it mono.
    Save as wav or mp3.
    File->Save as and select Save as type: MP3 and select Layer 3 128kbits mono under Attributes.
    Use virtualdubmod to add the new audio to the avi file under streams->streams list.
    Select Video->Direct Stream Copy.
    Last File->Save as a new avi."

    Now i have two Mp3 Layer 3 128kbits mono tracks extracted with both channel audio
    But this time its instead from MPEG and WMV-files who require the channel fix
    is there any programs compared to Virtualdubmode who can handle this formats and can perform this?

    I guess you can add mp3 audio to a mpg using tmpgenc(under file-->mpeg tools->simple multiplex). Or convert the mp3 to mpa/mp2 or ac3.

    For your wmv I would try wmvmuxer and add the old wmv and the mp3. Or use Windows Movie Maker.

    The Mpg is now fixed with TMPGEnc

    Windows Movie maker is not a bad idea for the wmv, the only issue i experience there is that this file is on 815 Mb, 1 hour 20 min
    since Movie Maker are cutting up inputs into mini-bits, that brings me about 150 small audio tracks in a row ..that i must add silence to manually before i can save out a test..i dont know if its possible to gain control over the whole audio as a unbreakable single track?

    So perhaps i must go with WMVMuxer instead, its just that i dont know which settings to choose in the main window
    Format/Profile, and its required to be filled to start encode, i want a direct stream copy, the manual speaks of something like that..but related to some Lame encoder i think, i can only handle program-buttons really, klick direct stream copy :9 what thei talk about i dont understand
