Finalization/other software bundled programs

Thank you for the information. Cyberlink told me that I had the OEM version of Power Producer and it doesn't have the finalization feature, though under Disc Utilities there is a button for it, but when clicked on it the error message made me think I was using the wrong disc type. I don't know why it burns to DVD, but then won't follow up with finalizing it.
I think I will download the ImgBurn software. I also have Sonic Record Now and Nero that both burn to DVD, but there is no finalization feature in them either.
Is it true that you only need to finalize DVD-RW's and DVD+RW's, to play on other DVD players, but that the DVD-R and DVD+R's are automatically finalized after you burn video to them?

correct on all counts. dvdr doesn't need finalization. imgburn is a great disc burning utility.
