DVD Player just says searching

I have a new Pioneer DV-545. I have read everywhere that DVD-R can be played. Every time I try to play a DVD-R created by DVDit, written by Nero, the player just says searching and does nothing else. The disk plays on my PC (A03 drive) and Laptop (Dell CD/RW and DVD combo).

I am using DataSafe media.

Can anyone please help.

Does the ISO Level selected in Nero make a difference ?

I have read conflicting examples regarding this.

I just wonder of there is something wrong with the directory structure and therefore the DVD player just says searching.
