    Hi

Umm I'm having a problem with converting .MP4 files to...well any other format...I've successfully converted about 12 files to AVI with no problem..but there are a few .MP4 files that I just can't get to work.

I don't change any of my settings from the ones that were successful, but when I try to convert I get a file that has only audio, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've tried using different avi codecs and have also tried to convert to other formats such as MPEG and get the same problem.

I noticed that during the encoding process the video preview screen is black so that's pretty much my clue that I'm going to get a video-less file in the end.

If anyone could help me out if they've come across the same problem before I'd be REALLY thankful =)

    Thanks everyone!

Can you play the mp4 in windows media player?
And please post the details of the mp4, such as the video codec. Identify it with MediaInfo.

You could also try convert the mp4 to avi with other converters such as alltoavi, super, winff, etc.
