  1. Ok, i've been creating vcds with nero for a while now and have had no problems. Then one day i decided to take it up a notch by adding a menu so i can select other videos from it. I don't care much for the multi-menus right now but i'm having probs with a single menu. I'm using the lastest nero and all my vcds i've created work perfectly with the dvd player i have. but when i add a menu with nero using the menu option, my dvd player will not detect the vcd any more. Is it that my dvd player can't handle created vcd menus or is it nero messing things up? if it's nero how do i fix the problem?

I use Nero 5.5.7.2. My SVCD's work great on my Pioneer DV-440. I play an SVCD with menu and it will not advance past the menu. I play an SVCD on my computer and the menu works great. I have this question in to the Nero tech support. Nearly a week now and no response from them. I will pass on any info I get.

I found the answer to this question tonight on this thread. The SVCD will advance past the menu when the numbers on the remote keypad are depressed. I was using the play and next button.

I am very thankfull of the help given by users on this site!!!

  6. On my dvd player, the only way I can advance past the menus is to manually select a number on the controller, then hit enter or play. The advance arrows do nothing for me on the menu screen.

  7. ok, my problem is not being able to see the menu at all. it doesn't even get that far. it doesn't see it all all like the disc doesn't exist. but before i decided to add menus with nero, it worked fine.

Yes, sorry for the run around.

To the point....I can only let you know I used the tutorial on this site under the "How to Menu" "How to create a SVCD menu with Nero 5.5+". I followed it exactly. My guess is you have already done that.

Have U tried pressing the 1-key on the remote ?

I have a few (s)vcd's with a menu I can't see. But the menu works. If I press 1 it starts playing the first vcd.
