If you use separate tracks in tda cant you then load separate audio sources for each track? If you want several mp3s for each clip then join the mp3 before.
Or edit with advanced mpeg2 editor like mpeg video wizard where you can load the vobs and audio files. -
I have done similar (although more complicated) projects. If I were doing this today I would :
1. Demux the Audio and Video to elementary streams
2. Load the video and audio into Vegas (you can use any editor that supports multiple audio tracks)
3. Edit the video and original audio as required.
4. Export the new video and new edit of the original audio
5. Create a new mix of the audio with new material. How complex this is depends on how much syncing needs to be done, and how easy it is to replace the original music.
6. Export the new audio track
7. Author a new disc with the two audio tracksRead my blog here.

You missed part about demuxing. Once you demux to elementary streams, you will get mpeg2 video file and ac3 or LPCM audio file.

Sorry I do not use Vegas, so cannot help you there, but I imagine you should be able to export as avi or mpeg2. Than you can use TMPG DVD Author to make DVD

Thanks for your help Tinker i am exporting as an avi, its gonna take more than 4 hours though!

It all depends on your machine, but yes, video takes time.
I sometime run these things over night, so next day it is ready.
Other suggestion I have, is to get some more memory for your machine. 512 is hardly enough to run WinXP, at least 1 GB.
Also I do not know how much room is left on your hard drive , but 100GB is not much for video, if it is only HD you have. -
Why do people sit down to these large projects working with tools they have no idea how to use ?
Vegas is not a toy, and you need to have some understanding of how it functions, even at a basic level, before embarking on project work with it. Rendering (big hint!) is about as basic as it gets. Read the manual, search the helps files, google for on-line tutorials in the basics.
What are you using for authoring ? Know your authoring tool before you get to that stage as well. This means understanding how a DVD is structured, what formats are allowable and how to make them compliant.
We could put all the answers here, but then you really would not have learned anything, and we would be repeating ourselves because all this information is already available and easily accessible if you look for it.
One final piece of advice : never sit down to a video project thinking it will just take you an hour or so. They never, ever do.Read my blog here.
