I downloaded some avi files and although the quality was awesome but I noticed that there is obvious ghosting in the video. At first glance you would think the field order was switched. Can this be fixed? I would like to convert these to mpegs so I can author them to dvd.

	Hi-

If whoever did it left in ghosting, then he's incompetent and the quality isn't "awesome". Can it be fixed? Probably not, but we'd need a 5 second sample that shows the problem so we can have a look to be sure.Originally Posted by zanos

Reversed field order doesn't cause ghosting. It causes jerky playback -- as if you took a film and reversed each pair of frames. Instead of seeing the fields in order:

 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

 pairs are reversed:

 2 1 4 3 6 5 8 7
