I just recently replaced my home Recording Studio Computer with a newer one and have been experencing tracks out of sync. I use an old version of Cakewalk V9.3 to record mutiple tracks. When I play back the newly recorded track along with the previous tracks, within 30 seconds of playback the new track begins to eventually slip out of sync. The sound card is (i believe) a Creative Labs, the model name excapes me. Now keep in mind that this card is a 5.1 surround card, but I am only using the main L & R outs. Should I uninstall this card and it's drivers and go for something more on the side of just Duplex L & R ins and outs??? Or is this problem within the setup of the mixer settings?

Try using ASIO drivers, as the latency will be lower with them.

You'll have to choose ASIO as your output device in Cakewalk. No promises, but it might work. -

Hmm. Works fine for me. I was there seconds ago. Here's an explanation and user guide.
