I'm trying to convert a .wmv file to mpeg on a Mac. using ffmpegx. After selecting the file and the target format, I get a message:

    where is progress.app?

Try as I might, I can't locate this. What is it and where does it live?

    Any suggestions?

Since you seem to be using a Mac and mention ffmpegX, you would probably get more answers in our Mac Forum. Moving You.

Have you installed the needed support files? According to the docs:

If you are installing ffmpegX for the first time, then you must also
install the mencoder and mplayer binaries and the mpeg2enc binary.

You need to direct it to itself (ffmpegX) in your Applications folder.
