Hi,
I am getting a HDTV large screen (not sure which one yet) but also need a DVD player.
I have noticed some with HDMI I think it is. Would I be better to go with one that has that or does it matter?
I naturally want to be up with the latest as I won't buy again for a while.
Thanks
oz

Many people here like Oppo (http://www.oppodigital.com) because the quality is high and the players can be put into multi-region mode fairly easily. I don't know how easy they are to get in Australia though.

Assuming you already have a DVD player, there is no need to change/upgrade just because you have a new TV. Output type is irrelevant as long as your TV has inputs for all of your hardware. With that said, aside from any options that you may want/need, you should shop around for a player with the best video reproduction. As noted above, the Oppo units have excellent video quality.
