joining in vegas

need magic word to join two video segments in vegas 8. i mean, it must be a magic word, because ive combed the internet, read the manual, so either im blind or there is some hocus pocus that needs to happen to join these segments.

i split the video into segments to add slides and transisitions, and now i want join them back together so i can drag the video around the track if i want to.

its not important, it just seems like i should be able to join back what i split apart.

You can select both parts of the clip, then hit G to group them and treat them as a single entity.

for some reason this does not work for me. i even right click, go to Group, and the option to create new group is disabled...

Do you have both clips selected (hold down the ctrl key when clicking on them)

that worked. i was dragging and selecting. thanks for your help!! now i can resume working on the most boring training videos i have ever watched. UGH
