I forgot what a pain it is to install win98 and then IE6.....
At least I could find all the drivers...Just had to burn them to CD since I couldn't install the Lexar jumpdrive drivers to access the USB drive![]()
Now to see if the windows update will work with IE6 ????

I don't think Windows Update still supports '98...

Windows update works with IE6 and Windows 98SE. No new ones for windows, but the library is still available and I seem to recall getting new ones for IE6. I have them all downloaded and archived to CD.

It still works with 98 first edition too
I had to download the IE6 installer from another computer, becuase of lack of support for IE4 on MS's websites
Installed all the updates they had. Around 40 or so
Now I'm checking to see if I can install the latest version of OpenOffice
I'm just setting this old laptop to it's OEM and installing Open Office. Then I'm giving it away. Actually 6 of them.

128mb Ram
4gb HDD
What a screamer!!!
Edit:
OpenOffice 2.3.1 installed just fine
Time to ghost it and setup the others
