I have been reading about different media servers/players including some listed on this site such as TVIXBox, Popcorn Hour, and MVIX. Im confused about what would work for my situation.

I am looking for a way to store DVDs movies/TV shows that I can playback on my TV. Im not interested in music or any other type files. I have already tried the Liteon 5045 but that was limited on what it could do.
I have a PS3.........would I be able to interface it with a hard drive? Or would I be better off buying one of these media servers? Im open to suggestions.
