hello all. i just extracted an audio file from a dvd using pgcdemux. i had no problems on my first try but i did it again on a different dvd and the audio captured was playing back faster. (probably 3x or 4x the normal playback speed). Anyone knows why this happened? or if anyone can recommend a mp4 editor so i can just slow down the playback speed and convert it again?

    thanks!

pgcdemux just demuxes the audio, so it should not affect playback at all. That you have an mp4 suggests you then did a conversion, which is more likely where things went pear-shaped

thanks for the reply. yup i did convert it from ac3 to mp4 but the thing is i did exactly the same thing with my first attempt on a different dvd but the output after converting from ac3 to mp4 was ok. is there any application out there where i can listen to the ac3 file outputed by pgcdemux just so i can hear if the audio is ok?

  4. You can't play AC3 audio on your computer? Then install the AC3 Filter and you should be good to go. If it sounds too soft, go into the Config and change the Preset to Loud.

i installed ac3 filter, listened to the ripped audio file, and it was already playing back faster than usual, so i guess this means that the problem is how i extracted the audio file from pgcdemux. any recommendations?
