Hi,
In my eternal quest for a reliable capture software that would allow me to capture full length movies without losing A/V sync, I now tested VirtualDUb 1.4.8.
It seems to do a great job, allowing me to capture 704x576 MJPEG AVI without any dropped frame, to a 10GB file without any AV sync problem.
So I decided to leave it running for a full 1h40 movie.
Surprise when I came back : Blue screen on Win2K, had to reboot. I had a 22GB AVI file that no software could read.
Did anybody here experienced this before ? Can someone advice on what to do to avoid this ?
My setup is : Celeron 566@850, mobo Asus p3V4X, latest via 4in1 drivers (4.37 I think), ATI AIW 128Pro AGP, sblive 1024, Win2K Pro sp1, Budweiser x12, cadbury cookies.
thanks for helping

Personally I think the Bud would cause this kind of fault...

I think I'd probably upgrade to SP2 and try again. Worth a go..
Also, how are your temps ?? Your pretty seriously O/C'd there...
As a general platform stability test you could try running http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ for a few days. It usually shows up a platform that is running on the limits..
pass the cookies..
:P

@Wonderin : he he Bud is just fine. That's the only piece of my equipment I wouldn't suspect nor change :P
@bigcolinP : no prob with temps, I made myself a custom case, full of vents and holes. I ran all possible cpu-intensive progs and I never go past 21°C in the case and 36°C (Celsius degrees, can't convert to Fahrenheit) on processor. It works like a charm and I'm more than happy I gave this overclocking thing a try
I'll give SP2 a try though.
