Hauppauge WinTV PVR, Snazzi III, V-Gear --
Which one gives the best video quality?
Or, any other hardware-encoder capture cards suggested for a great quality when making VCDs?
I have a PIII 500MHz with 256Mb RAM.
Thanks a lot!!

had wintv pvr, took it back the next day, hardware encoding was much worse than using tmgenc. If you want hardware encoding to match a good software encoder you are going to have to spend allot more than $200, more in the neighborhood of $20,000.

The wintv pvr with the lastest drivers downloaded from the hauppauge website gives very good video captures and and good svcd mpegs.
At least mine does anyway.
