I had asked a question here a long time ago....is it possible to simply rip the .vob's from a dvd, and burn them onto a dvdr? Of course the answer is no, I know it's not as easy as that.....but.....someone did send a reply stating that videopack 5 would accept .vob files dropped into it. I got the program, and yes, it does!! I ripped "Little Nicky" for a test, (3.5 Gb) and dragged the .vob files into videopack. It accepted, and even previewed the movie flawlessly for me. Here's where the issue comes in.....

when I go to record the disc, the program reencodes everything and then there's an error that comes up saying "vts_xx_xx.vob contains .ac3, .vob can only be used as is" and then it will stop encoding and won't burn. Has anyone had this problem? Any easy way to get around it? Do I have to strip the audio and reencode manually?

Any input is always appreciated,
