    Hey,

I just got a 24" LCD Monitor to replace my old TV. It doesn't have any composite video inputs, so im looking at getting a tv capture card and playing my Wii through my computer. Does this work well, or am i better off paying more and getting one of those Composite Video to VGA converters.

    Thanks,
    Rob

  2. I think it works fine, you'll need a program to capture video with that displays the picture in full screen. I can't think of any other way to see the video.

But theres no lag after you press a button, or in your case swing a remote. If thats what you were thinking. I used to have my gamecube set up like that. But I used a CRT monitor and it was usually too dark if I didn't take the brightness up.

Many TV/capture cards do introduce enough delay to make gameplay impossible. Take the Hauppauge line - up to 4 seconds between input and display. In gameplay, even a fraction of a second may prove disastous, as we all know!

  4. I didn't know that mats.hogberg.

Bonici, if you still want to get a capture card, the one I have is made by Avermedia

I'll look into that one, Getting a capture card would be much cheaper than the vga box thing.
    Thanks for the replies.
