  1. I know that the templates by sefy can do this but i need a simple chapter point to split the two, can i, a newbie do this?

Is anything else needed to be done after encoding except burning?

    Thanks [/b]

  2. You said MPEGs but didn't say what format or bitrate was used, or what size they are. An 80min CDR will hold 800MB of MPEG data. For VCD white book standards that works out to 1min=10MB. So each 43min cliip would be 430MB.

If the files are two big, then they are to big. Nothing you can do but re-encode at a lower bitrate.

As for chapters. Don't spilt your MPEG into two files. Instead use VCDImager to create entrypoints where you want your chapters to be. VCDImager is a command line program but there are several GUIs for it: TSCV, VCDEasy and VCDImager GUI being the most popular.
