Since there is no way to register Spotremover, is there any filters that will do the same thing?
I have old betamax footage that was transferred to VHS. the VHS signal is horrible and has a lot of pinks, blues and etc. they are horizontal areas of color bleeding. (not sure what to call it)
If you pick a scene with blue sky, it has pink and other colors going across it. If I run the Spotremover filter these colors are all gone and leaves a smooth blue sky with almost all the detaisl still there.
I use VirtualDub but will try AVISynth when needed. (just mastered Despot)
Thanks,
Lannie

I guess the correct term for this noise is the rainbow effect.
I saw someone mention guavacomb filter but they say it only does static scenes and this is definatly not static.

Use Colormill, it has enough filters to do what you need... The site is not dying, just be patience........
