  1. I have just purchased a Cyberhome AD-L528 and I own a Pioneer A-03 dvd-writer. I would like to know why mp3 files that are burnt on the DVD-R or DVD-RW disc can be read in my PC but not in my AD-L528. The same DVD-RW disc can be read no problem in the 528 when video data (Mpeg2) is burnt on it and also the Cyberhome player has no problems playing mp3 files from CDR or CD-RW media. I have tried burning mp3 to the DVD media using GEAR-DVD in the following ways:

    ISO9660/UDF 1.02
    ISO9660 Joilet
    UDF/ 2.01

Can anyone tell me if they have been able to get mp3 files burnt to DVD-R or DVD-RW media to work in a standalone and if so how did you burn the disc?

I am looking forward to getting 800+ songs on a single disc

  3. Would love to know the same thing myself..have tried with both Nero and Primo DVD...my search has lead me to understand that certain mp3 capable dvd players can only read a certin number or mp3's off a cd..a dvd would pose the problem of to many files...Anyone have a list of dvd player thathave been verified to be able to play mp3 on dvd??

Pioneer DV-444 can't, it says bad dvd(tested in all burn mode). I think most dvd players will have the same problem...it first checks media type and if dvd it assume it is dvd-video, if cd-r then check if mp3/audio/vcd/svcd. Maybe with some firmware hacks it may be possible.
