  2. You can use Adobe Premiere for generating titles that scroll.
You can also try use VirtualDub and the subtitler filter. But I am not sure how well this works for number of line like in lyrics.

Thanks for the reply. I don't like premier to much so I'll try virtual dub first.

For some reason I could never get the hang of the program.

  6. Well I guess then I'll have to reinstall Premiere. Seems I'll have to read the help file to use it. Maybe I'll like it better once I learn how to use it.

Premiere is not the most intuitive program on the planet.

    Thanks all for the help!

I used a demo along time ago that did nothing but scrolling credits and titles and worked excellent. I was hoping someone would trigger a memory cell as to what the name of it was. Even tho it wouldn't save, I could have done a window capture video of it.

  7. I think( I am not sure) the help that comes along with Adobe describes a method to create scrolling titles. You could also check out Adobe's site for the Forums on Premiere. You should get a lot of info there.

  8. Can't you just make a tall image file and use a 'pan' filter to scroll it? Haven't tried it, but it seems logical to me.

I guess I should probably ask here instead of post a new topic. Does anyone know if Vegas Video 3.0 supports .flm files? I think it is flm, it is the filmstrip file in Premiere.

    Thanks.

  10. Well Gent's I'll take the advice and snoop around some sites. If I can remember and find that program that does those credits I'll post it here with the address.

    Thanks

  11. I prefer after fx. it's simpler to use, and has more possibilities for things like that.

  12. Well I found it. Its called TELESCREEN-32 and it truly is the best for doing scrolling credits. http://www.drs-digitrax.com/index.htm. You can do just about anything with the text as you can a normal text editor.

Downloaded a copy of it again and now I remember why I pitched it. Every 5th line it puts in TELESCREEN-32 text. 195.00 wow. I don't know.

    Thanks for all the help.

Vegas is to complicated for what I want the scrolling for. It would take decades.
