    BenQ DW1640 comes on top of DL DVD writers based on ratings when I filter the results. Where can I get this drive from? I did some google search with no success. Any help would be appreciated.

    somebodeez is correct, the BENQ 1640 drives are no longer manufactured.
    LITEON bought out BENQ's optical drive division. BENQ does have dvd burners but they're now manufactured by LITEON. Take a look at the long thread over at the BENQ FORUM at Cdfreaks.com. The thread is about the vanishing BENQ drives. You could find a 1640, 1650 & 1655 on Ebay but be prepared to pay big money for one.
