I've always found that days tend to end approximately 24 hours after they start. Give or take...

I feel that days usually last about 12 hours give or take then night takes over and gives us abreak from the menacing sun and work for another 12 hours or so.

I know you live in the great white north but i live in TN im a MI transplant. and i get a good 12 hours of usable sunlight. at 730AM on my way to work its bright enough to function outside and at 730PM on my way home there is still a good amount of sun left.. thats in the summer time though. in the winter for get a bout it. im sure you can relate to that 8)

Checking the web I see Calgary get's a low of about 8 hours min and 16.5 max - when you live near the eqator you get basically 12 hours year round. I lived a couple of years on assignment in Kuala Lumpur and sunrise at 7:00 a.m. - sunset at 7:00 p.m. year round (okay, very slight variation) - it was neat, at first, have the same thing day after day but I found I really got to missing the seasons...

Tha Canadian winters are like beating yourself with a hammer - feels sooo good when you stop...

no because the Earth's Circumference at the Equator = 24,901.55 miles and the earths rotation speed = 1070mph ish so if you devide 1070 by 24,901.55 you get 23.27 hours. so you would actually be moving back in time. :P
