    Fry's sells Memorex, TDK, Sony, HP, & GQ DL media, all +R. Memorex is the least expensive at $25 for 25 blanks, but it seems to get WRITE ERRORS.

    What's the best media for these drives ?

    stay away from all the brands you posted. as already mentioned to you in your other threads just use VERBATIM DUAL LAYER DVD+R media. burn them using IMGBURN nuff said.

    Best Buy when it's on sale or order online from Newegg or Rima.com. I don't buy DL media since it's still expensive.

    Can anyone explain WHY Verbatim is the best ? Is it just fewer errors/coasters ? Longer shelf life ?

    You're talking DVD-R DL. We're talking DVD+R DL.
    You also fail to mention the firmware in use, and whether the -R DL were supported by it.
