whenever i get a DVD+RW and burn a movie on it, it plays fine on my standalone DVD player. unfortunately, when i put it back in my computer, the disk cannot be read or formatted at all. which means i can't rewrite other movies on the disk again. i may as well be using DVD+R.
does anyone know, is this normal? the disks are branded "Octron" (from lidl) and i'm using convertxtodvd as a converter and burner

Could be a media quality issue.
If you use a tool such as Nero, it has menu options for checking disc status and formatting or RW media. I'm not sure what burning software you have installed in your pc. But most burning software has similar tools. Try using those directly to access the disc (as opposed to using windows).Google is your Friend
