Dear Friends,
I have a Hewlett-Packard dv4000 Pavilion laptop on which I play DVD movies.
Unfortunately the sound on some of the DVD's on the market is pretty low and i cannot raise that volume sufficiently with the laptop audio control. I know that the speakers of the laptop can put out considerably more volume than I'm getting from the DVD's because I can get plenty of volume with the laptop control and speakers when I'm on the Internet at a news-channel for instance.
What I'm trying to figure out is if there is anything on the market like headphones with a volume adjustment powered by the USB port of the laptop. it would be something like the case of my desktop where I have speakers plugged into a sound-card and I can adjust the volume with the control on the speakers.
Anything?
Regards to all,
Jack Owens

	Dear Soopafresh,

Thanks for your reply, but I was unable to actually apply the information you provided. I tried to figure out how to actually use AC3Filter --configure it with, say, VideoLAN or Windows Media Player-- and I put that question on the AC3Filter forum last month, but got no response.

What is the step-by-step procedure for actually linking AC3Filter to the audio of a DVD movie?

 Regards

 Jack Owens
