I've noticed several newer DVDs (in the last year) seem to be playing, but after the FBI warning, i get nothing but a black screen. This only happens on my PC software player, which is Gabest's Media Player Classic. WMP simply says it cannot play the DVD. Is this a new form of copy protection?
thanks,
trav

ah well i just tried a player called KMPlayer, and IT plays one of the movies. But I still remain curious. I wonder why I started to get blackscreen regularly on some disks. And every time with the same disks, and never with any other disks. When using MPC, and no other Software players. At least not that i've found yet.
Oh well, at least problem solved as far as not being able to watch these movies. thanks -
