Hi. I want to rip a DVD (movie recorded from TV) to my HD, tried with DVDDecrypter ("Pack Header Not Found"), DVDShrink (freezes), ImgBurn ("Failed to Read..."), DVDFab ("Failed to Read...") and Windows Explorer (freezes), when processing the first .VOB movie file.
To make things easier, ripping only the audio will be ok, I tried with DVD Audio Ripper 4 but I got only the first 23 minutes.
Thanks in advance.

My first guess is that you have a really messed up DVD.
DVD Decrypter should have been able to get it. You can try something like ISOBuster and see if it can recover the file. Or you might luck out with VOB2MPG and just get the MPEG file off it and demux the audio. But I suspect the disc has some major problems.

Did you use DVD Recorder to record the show and did you finalized disc after?

Can you put disc in computer drive, right click on it and see what files are there.
If the disc is home made, you should not need any ripper, you can just copy(drag) files to your HD the same like any other file copy procedure. -

When you right click on disc in the drive and click OPEN, do you see VIDEO_TS.IFO file or just VOB files?

Have you tried cleaning the DVD carefully with a micro-fiber cloth? That in combination with for instance ISOPuzzle has helped me with troublesome discs in the past.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
