I'm making a high light video of my son to send off to college for football. And I always see on ESPN and other sports stations that they can highlight a single player on the field with either a circle or a luminescent aura. I have all the clips that i want to put into the highlights video but I can't find a program that has the video effect in it
Do any of you guys or gals know of any kind of software that might have this ability?
preferably free.
but if not it's ok... I have 3 other kids that play sports as well
Thanks!

It's certainly not free, and it's not cheap, but Adobe Premiere Pro will do the job. The reason I mention it is because this tutorial:
www.wrigleyvideo.com/videotutorial/tutdes_stopnglow.htm
...does exactly what you want to do, and uses Premiere.
However, you can watch the tutorial and apply the principles to another (cheaper or free) tool.
Premiere Elements is a possible alternative (not too expensive), and I don't know if it'll do what you want, but Avid Free DV is free.
Good luck! There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
Carpe diem.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.
