i need to do batch conversion of a bunch of .rm files to .avi (just about any other format). the problem is each .rm file has a different bit rate and fps.
tried SUPER, riverpast, alltoavi, and a couple other programs ... but they've all failed. can convert a couple of the files, but a batch conversion ends up failing. or they need for me to manually configure each conversion.
so what i really need is a program that can read the source bit rate and fps, and configure the target accordingly. and it needs to run in batch mode.
also, i'm not sure what my codecs should be? should i use Real Alternative, Real, etc...
Thanks

Have you tried FAVC ? Make sure you tell the app to use DirectShowSource.
I hate RM files, so I stay away from them. Install Real Alternative for the best chance to convert to AVI with FAVC. DVDSanta is supposed to work, but the name is too embarassing.
