LG LRH-790 Posted Hack Doesn't Work

I just bought an LG LRH-790 but the posted region-free hack doesn't work.
Have also tried several of the hacks for other LG models.

Any idea?

Did you ever get any help with this post? I have also just purchased this player, and the hack does not work, they must have new firmware.......let me know

Sadly no. I did find out that it was because of the firmware upgrade tho. Will reply to this post as soon as I find one.

This one works ...

Hack for LG LHR-790

1.open tray
2.on the remote press ‘home’
3.highlight "movie"
4.highlight "disc"
5.press "enter" on the remote
6.press "0000000" then accept free region mode

You can also ...

1.press HDD/DVD button on top of recorder or the remote to select DVD
2.press EJECT button on top of recorder or the remote to open the tray
3.press "enter" on the remote
4.press "0" seven times to get message "you are region free" then press "enter"
