I don't know about VCD, but here is a link to a guy selling VHS tapes of all the Johnny Sokko episodes:

He also has Ultraman, and my personal favorite, Space Giants with Goldar, Silvar, Rodak, and the Lugo men.
I spent many hours parked in front of the tube watching all those great live action series.
