My DLP accepts 1080i through component input. My question is, is there any difference in video quality using component instead of HDMI? What I do know is that with comp, I will need to run audio cables for the sound, which is all run through the HDMI (both video & audio)

    In short:
Is there a difference in video quality between running 1080i thru component vs HDMI?

I ask this because my tv only has 2 HDMI inputs.

I doubt you'd actually notice the difference. The only thing HDMI is a must for is running 1080p content, but since your TV is only 1080i/720p I don't think it'll make much difference. Even less difference if you use some quality cables.

Do you run the audio to your TV or a receiver.

The reason I'm thinking of going comp over my 2nd HDMI input, is because the second HDMI is mainly for a PC connection (i.e. the color correction only offers contrast, brightness, and something else). Where as HDMI-1 has green, red, cyan, magenta, and a ton of other options, which I also believe is the same options with my component inputs (3). Thanks for the help
