    please help

searched the forum but found nothing.

my sony vegas 7.0 trial has expired. I have the code for the full version but now that my old trial has expired I have no clue about how to enter it when I can't enter vegas and then register the code from there.

Is there any way I can register to full version or remove the trial "mark" from my computer?
I've tried reinstalling vegas but still says "your trial has expired"

    thanks in advance

If you have the full licensed version installed, the trial shouldn't be an issue. Was there no info when you bought the full version and got the license key?

no info about how to do it. the fact is that its possible to update a trial version to full version just by entering that code. I bought the code from a friend but now I can't enter it since I can't enter the trial version.

even if I uninstall the trial version it still detects that I have had it before and wont let me use it. Is there any way to remove this mark from your comp?

If the key is valid call sony. You can also request the demoCD that can be unlocked with a key.

You are much better off buying the retail version that comes with all the extras and download keys for Borris, etc.

Ask Sony. They monitor this during install anyway.

If you bought the code from a friend who I guess has used that code himself there is the possibility that it won't work anyway. These keys are for one user only and if sony keeps track of keys which i'm sure they do they will block that key so it wont be activatable anymore even buy your friend.

The way SoundForge worked (prior to Sony acquisition), if you installed and registered your program on a new computer, it stopped working on the previous machine. SoundForge's MPeg encoder seemed to phone home to get approval or timed out. Vegas was built on top of SoundForge.

I'm not sure what Sony is doing.

I'm sure they have some piracy scheme built in. I kind of stay away from anything sony after the rootkit installer that was hidden in their videos a year or two ago.

sony vegas division has nothing to do with the division of sony that produced root kits ...

you cant buy a serial key from a friend - they are machine specific .. but you can transfer a serial from machine - just contact customer support by phone

This thread is getting as close to warez as it needs to get. "I bought the 'code' from a friend" sounds a bit like "I caught it on the toilet seat."
