I am trying to convert a .REC file from my Topfield to a DVD using
    Project X to Demux
    IFOedit to reassemble and
DVDFab to correct Video manager VIDEO_TS.IFO.

In the process I have the smae problem many people seem to have with subtitle colours despite adjusting the CLUT in IFOedit using the CLUT generated from Project X

I used SupViewer to look at the subtitles before using IFOedit and noticed the summary screen that comes up at the begining that shows
    Color 1 uses palatte color:0 and opacity:0
    Color 2 uses palatte color:1 and opacity:F
    Color 3 uses palatte color:1, 2, 5, 6 and opacity:F
    Color 4 uses palatte color:1, 3, 4, 7, 8 and opacity:F

and I thought that if it or another tool could show each combination used and allow that to be edited (and saved for every time that combination was used) then the task of gettting the subtitles looking reasonable would be greatly reduced.

    For example combination
    Color 1 uses palatte color:0 and opacity:0
    Color 2 uses palatte color:1 and opacity:F
    Color 3 uses palatte color:2 and opacity:F
    Color 4 uses palatte color:3 and opacity:F

probably appears many times in the recording. If I want to change it to

    Color 1 uses palatte color:0 and opacity:0
    Color 2 uses palatte color:1 and opacity:F
    Color 3 uses palatte color:2 and opacity:F
    Color 4 uses palatte color:7 and opacity:F

everywhere it appears I don't know of a tool that can do that.

Have I explained what I meen.

    Any ideas

    Thanks Baldrick

I have DVDSubedit but it doesn't seem to do what I want. It only applies the change to 1 subpic at a time or (possibly?) all subpics but I want to apply the change only to those subpics where that combination of colours occurs.

Please correct me if I am wrong as I am a newbie to this subtitle editing.

  4. I don't know if such a program exists...
AFAIK SubtitleCreator also has some abilities to change SUP files directly. But probably your specific request isn't covered.

I will think about adding this possibility to the SupViewer application (this will take some time of cause). Actually the SupViewer application was just a 'by product' from the development of my sup2png utility. And as DVDsubedit came out, I stopped the further development more or less.
