  1. I am currently using win98 with virtualdub and all in wonder radeon but i cant get it to capture ive been told it may have something to do with my via motherboard but ive updated all the software and all i get with virtualdub is the message:

"warning no frames captured make sure your capture card is functioning correctly and a valid video source is connected. You might also try turning off overlay, reducing the image size or reducing the image depth to 24 or 16-bit"

I have tried playing around with the settings but it still doesnt work also there doesnt seem to be an option for yuy2.

I have also tried capturing with the ati softwae but it just freezes after capture and the file it creates its unplayable.

    Any help much appreciated

  2. Have you tried installing the wfm wrapper? Search the archives here or at rage3d.com for 'wrapper' and you should find it. I would be surprised if that didn't solve all of your problems.....

  4. Turbosat:

I had the same problem as you describe with my AIW Rage 128 Pro. The problem turned out to be IRQ related. I played with the BIOS setting "assign IRQ to VGA" and also freed up an IRQ by disabling the COM2 port in the BIOS (which I don't need). It might also help to move your PCI cards around. The objective is to force Windows to re-assign the IRQs. I'm not sure, in my case, what board was causing a conflict, but I have read where many drivers do not support or handle the PCI IRQ sharing very well.

    Good luck.
