  1. I use WinDVD on my computer to watch SVCDs. It has always worked fine. I use it also to watch mpeg2 files (ripped from SVCDs) and it has always worked fine. Recently a friend sent me a bin/cue ripped SVCD. I extracted all the folders, and assumed the Avseq01.mpg file located in the MPEG2 folder was an mpeg2 file that i could play in WinDVD (like other mpeg2 files do). However, it won't play in it, nor will it play in any other program I have (I tried VideoLan, and it played, but only showed a half black/half green screen). Any idea what I could do to watch this file??

  5. Use a program to rip it. I used VCDEasy

    http://www.vcdhelp.com/vcdeasy.htm

It has a feature (in tools) that can rip VCD/SVCD to a MPEG. I can play it in media player after I do this.

Something weird must be done to the MPEG when the SVCD is made.
