    HELP!

I've got a movie clip (.MPEG) and I want to burn it to a dvd.
I've got two computers, one is (among other things) for burning.

But the movie clip (when I copy it from dvd to hard disk/portable hard disk to hard disk)
only plays the sound when I play it! While on my other computer, the one NOT for
the burning, the movie clips play fine! It's especially a problem, because the movie clip
does not show in Windows Media Player, but it does in (for example) VLC Media Player.

When I want to burn the movie clip to a dvd, also NeroVision 3 does not recognize the movie clip!

The weird thing is, first the movie clip played fine, and now I copied it again to my hard disk and it only plays the sound! I haven't (on purpose ) changed anything on my computer!!!! ( And I've tried copying the movie clip several times )

    PLEASE HELP ME!

You'll get more help if you changed the title to be more descriptive than Video. Edit your post above, and change it please.

DVD takes Mpeg2 file. If Nero cannot see the file most likely it is not Mpeg2. If it is from DVD than it will be in VOB and Nero will not take that either.
VLC player will except DivX format (Mpeg4).
Get Gspot and check the format of the file in there, than post it.

But NeroVision does see the file on my other computer!
Besides, the movie clip worked fine before, even in NeroVision.
( With copying it from a dvd, I meant that it was a data dvd )
I've checked the format of the the file, and it is definitly a MPEG-2 movie clip. GSpot also says that the codecs are installed, so I don;t understand why the movie only plays the sound!

Start with the basics. Put a copy of g-spot on the computer that won't play the video, and find out what codec is missing. Install that codec, and see what happens.

Well I checked the movie on the computer where the movie only plays the sound and it had all the codecs.
It's a really stupid problem pfffff

Besides all your other problems, that clip isn't suitable for Video-DVD - it's the wrong resolution for anything but playing on the computer.

Right, well I think I got a solution.
I convert the MPEG-2 files to .VOB with SUPER
and now NV3 can open them!
Thanks for all the help tough!

  11. Weird. Reported as MPEG-1 system stream with mpeg2 video inside, without B frames.

Am I totally wrong or isn't the gspot screenshot you posted indicating that your dealing with an mpeg1 stream (which does have really weird specs)?

sorry for repetition, was too lame for Abond
