I would like to create VCDs or Super VCDs on a DVD-R for play in my set-top DVD player. Anyone know how to do this?
I have the Pioneer DVR-103 (or A03) in a new Compaq Presario. I have had a devil of a time getting what I want from this drive to date. Not as easy as burning CD-Rs. Anyhow, I realize most of the limitations are SOFTWARE based.
I had previously been making VCDs on CD-Rs and playing them in my set-top DVD player. That was cool and all, but I hate having to change disks just to play one movie. So enter DVD-R & DVD-RW. So far, I can only burn an actual DVD MPEG-2 disk.

If you use MY DVD, just change the settings on the DVD video bit rate so you can fit heaps more video on a disk.
Its under Build - Video Settings - then change the settings manually.
